As a life long Nebraskan, who grew up along the South Platte River, I knew the cranes came in every early spring. It was fun to take a drive out to the country and watch them feed in the corn fields. Cranes are awkwardly graceful. What I did not know is that this area of Nebraska is unique in the number of cranes and regularity of the crane migration here. I just thought it happened everywhere!!! I am so glad that the Crane Trust has successfully educated all of us and the rest of the world about the breath taking experience of viewing this migration. The center is full of information, beautiful photos and other works of art in nature. We had a great time. Thanks.
