We spent too much time at the very cool John Philip Falter Museum in Falls City. This made us in a rush to Brownville for ice cream at The Bluebird. We arrived about 10 minutes after the closing time. I was ready to settle for an e-stamp. A wonderful lady inside offered to give us our stamps AND serve us ice cream!! I realize this made her late getting home on a Sunday evening. We really appreciate The Bluebird’s kindness!! The ice cream was heavenly (even the unlikely sweet corn ice cream) and the shop was adorable. We drove around this cool river town while eating our ice cream. Definitely a place I’d like to explore a bit more. Lots of cool old buildings/houses and history. I feel very thankful to have experienced a corner of Nebraska that I had never visited before!
