The drive south of North Platte on a smooth highway surrounded by green fields was relaxing. McCook has grown since my last visit and appears to be thriving. Our lunch orders at Sehnert’s were taken by a set of gracious teen-age twins with lovely smiles. Our meals were excellent and highlighted by a delicious baked good from their outstanding selection. From McCook we drove through hills, trees, and small towns to Arapahoe. Wagner’s Quilts and Conversations was a happy surprise for two seamstresses. The shop owner and the shop were warm and welcoming. We took our time checking out fabric and patterns. We both loved the piece of Nebraska fabric that the shop owner gifted to us. I plan to make a pillow with my fabric to help me remember my Nebraska passport summer!
