My teenage son and I ventured to Too Far North on a Friday afternoon. I expected to walk into a “typical” bar, but the ambiance was much more cozy and comfortable, more like a coffee house with alcohol. I had read a Nebraska Passport review raving about the cream soda, so we tried it, and it did not disappoint! However, they also had a wide selection of craft beers and wine for those who wish to have an adult beverage. The owner shared the history of the building, which we found very entertaining. The decorations, signage, and relics that lined the interior walls were fascinating, and the brick interior and exterior of the building added an authentic feel to the stories she told. There is even an original Metz Brothers Beer sign on the outside of the building (ask her about the difference between Metz and Metz Brothers). This place is just a short jaunt up the road, and I can see myself stopping by again sometime, getting comfy on the sofa, and enjoying a glass of wine on a Friday night after work!
