We had an enjoyable visit at Wessels Living History Farm in York. There were plenty of buildings to view and the highlight was a tour through the house, hosted by a young lady dressed in 1920s housewifely fashion. She provided a history of the house and led us through the rooms on the main floor and to the bedrooms upstairs. A fun extra were the cornmeal cookies (with recipe) and lemonade. There was also a tractor barn, loaded with vintage tractors, a church, barn and other outbuildings. Allow plenty of time, there is a lot to see.
