My fiancé and I decided to do the passport program to help us cope with all the wedding prep! So far it’s working well.
We decided to hit up the capitol building this weekend. We started the day down in the Historic Haymarket, and bought materials to take home and make BLTs (they were fantastic). Then we wandered over to the gorgeous state capitol, and managed to get there just as the 10am tour was starting.
The tour guide happily stamped our passports, then took us all over the capitol, telling us how this beautiful building came to be. We found out that it’s actually the third capitol building that Lincoln has built, and the second tallest capitol building in the country. My fiancé and I have both been to the building before, but we now look at it in an entirely new light. It was a great day to spend a Saturday morning.
