Edgerton Explorit Center

2020 marked the 25th anniversary of the opening of the Edgerton Explorit Center. Who would have thought 25 years ago that a hands-on science center in Aurora Nebraska could be serving over 200,000 people per year? Well 26 years later, that is exactly what Nebraska’s Edgerton Center is doing. This has allowed us to carry on the legacy of lifelong learning of the Center’s namesake, Harold “Doc” Edgerton and bring the joy of learning and science to countless citizens across Nebraska, Midwest and United States. We are changing “our” future by creating amazing experiences that encourage discovery through play, asking questions, exploration and using creativity to solve problems. In December of 2021, the Edgerton Explorit Center has completely renovated our building and added a lower level expansion. This new space, the Discover-It Zone adds over 35 new exhibits to our lower level and is a great compliment to our main floor Explorit Zone. Great family educational fun!
