Rocks, minerals and fossils from Nebraska and around the world. Exhibits include the Ohme collection of agates, jade and petrified wood. Exhibits focus on items found in the region, including the Black Hills. Daily, 7:30am-4:30pm, when CSC classes are in session; by appointment at other times. Closed major holidays & spring break. Located in the Math-Science building at 12th and Chapin streets on the campus of Chadron State College. From the center of town, take Main Street south to the stop sign at 10th St. Continue straight for 2 blocks to 12th street; turn left. Drive five blocks east to Chapin. Best parking is in the softball field lot one block east. Parking in the Math-Science lot may also be available.
