Liederkranz Live

The Liederkranz Klub was founded on November 7th, 1870, and incorporated January 2nd, 1871. It presently has the distinction of being the oldest club in Grand Island, Nebraska.

The Klub was organized as a singing society to promote singing, music, drama, art, and literature. The German name Liederkranz means “Song Wreath” or “Circle of Song.”.

"Liederkranz Live" is a vibrant committee operating within the historic Liederkranz Klub, established to honor the Klub's storied heritage of fostering an inclusive environment for the arts, Liederkranz Live champions the founding principles of freedom, liberty, truth, justice, peace, and equality through various artistic expressions.

Our mission is to support, encourage, and promote singing, music, drama, comedy, art, and literature, providing a platform for both established and emerging talents. By hosting diverse live performances, we aim to enrich the cultural fabric of our community and inspire a shared experience among members and guests.
