Heritage Day

Take a nostalgic journey at the annual Heritage Day event, featuring a variety of cultural experiences, demonstrations, and activities suitable for all ages. Come out to the Henderson Mennonite Heritage Park and enjoy a wide range of ethnic foods such as zwieback, new year’s cookies, raisin shnetya, and apple prieshka. Fresh waffles & cream sauce cooked on an outdoor wood stove with antique waffle irons will be available. Take a step back in time enjoying apple cider making, outdoor oven bread baking, meat rendering, old fashioned laundry day, sewing & quilting demonstrations, rug braiding and rope, soap & butter making.
