Film Streams' Ruth Sokolof Theater

Film Streams is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the cultural environment of the Omaha-Council Bluffs area through the presentation and discussion of film as an art form. Our two-screen cinema, the Ruth Sokolof Theater, is located within the Saddle Creek Records development in North Downtown Omaha and open 7 days a week. Our film programming features First-Run Films -- new American independents, documentaries, and foreign films making their premieres in Omaha and the surrounding region -- and Repertory Selections celebrating the history and cultural spectrum of the medium. We also collaborate with dozens of nonprofits each year on Community Development screenings and discussions, offer numerous Education initiatives for students, and present a variety of special programs with visiting filmmakers, musicians, and special guests.
