Two miles north of Shickley, Mallard Haven Waterfowl Production Area covers 1,087 acres, including 633 acres of wetland and 454 acres of upland ground. Among the 5-7 million migrating each spring are Canadian snow geese, blue geese, ducks and seasonal bald eagles. Also a habitat for pheasants and quail.
