Nebraska History

My husband and I took our granddaughters, 1st grade and 4th grade, to the Sandhills this weekend. Not only did we spend quality time with them, but 4th graders study NE history. The Dawes County Museum gentleman gave us a personal tour and explained details to the girls about buildings and Pioneer history. Fort Robinson gave them a vision of military life as well. Driving through the Sandhills made them understand how hard Pioneer life and travel was especially during inclement weather. Our last stop was Meritt Reservoir where I stamped my 70th NE Passport stop.
